Don't Kill The Cow Too Quick

Besides promoting my book and the wonderful
country of Panama, this website will enable me
to record on a regular basis my findings and
feelings about Bocas del Toro, its people and
their beliefs.

I am using an informal style, treating you, the
reader, as if I already know you. Not all will like
this but that does not matter because nobody
can please everyone and those I want to read
farther are those who think similar to me.

In my book, I lay bare my shortcomings and
failures, at least as far as they relate to
homesteading in Panama. Women come up to
me in the street in Bocas enthusing about the
book and thanking me for having written it. Their
men stand back, not pleased that one of their
kind admits to such failures. I did not
deliberately set out to catch a female audience
but to honestly describe my experiences, so that
others coming to these lagoons could avoid
some of the same mistakes as mine.
